Dalyel (“we”, “us”) operates the Dalyel mobile application and related services that help travelers discover places and plan visits in Qatar. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Account deletion: Registered users can delete their account in the app under Profile → Security → Delete account, or follow the steps on our account deletion page.

Information we collect

Account information — if you register, we collect your email address and display name. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing.
Guest identifier — if you browse without an account, we assign an anonymous device identifier to support saves, analytics, and optional guest-to-account migration.
Usage analytics — searches, place views, trip actions, AI requests, and partner link clicks to improve the product.
Location — only when you grant permission, to improve nearby results. You may deny location and still browse using Doha as a fallback.
Support communications — if you email us, we process the content of your message to respond.

How we use information

Provide and improve the Dalyel app and website
Sync saves, trips, and preferences for registered accounts
Enforce usage limits (for example, guest AI quotas)
Respond to support, privacy, and content reports
Maintain security and prevent abuse

Third-party services

Dalyel deep-links to partner apps and websites (for example maps, ride-hailing, and food delivery). When you tap a partner action, those services may receive destination context needed to open the link. Their privacy policies apply once you leave Dalyel.

We may use infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery) who process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.

Data retention

We retain account data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we soft-delete your profile and deactivate login. Some records may be retained in backups or logs for a limited period for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Children

Dalyel is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
